Novisto is proud to share that we’ve been named a Leader in the newly released Green Quadrant for ESG & Sustainability Reporting Software 2025 report by renownedanalyst and sustainability advisory firmVerdantix. This recognition marks our second consecutive placement in the Green Quadrant—building on our previous designation as an Innovator in 2023—and affirms our growing impact in a fast-evolving space.

While the regulatory and political landscape around sustainability reporting remains turbulent, demand for high-quality ESG data and reporting solutions continues to accelerate. As Verdantix notes, regulatory mandates like the CSRD and California’s climate disclosure laws, alongside voluntary frameworks, remain critical drivers for organizations seeking to enhance reporting processes, improve ESG data quality, and identify opportunities to strengthen sustainability performance.

A prestigious benchmarking analysis

The Green Quadrant for ESG & Sustainability Reporting Software is a widely respected benchmark of leading vendors in the ESG and sustainability software market. This year’s edition assesses and positions 21 of the top providers based on a detailed evaluation. The report serves as a valuable resource for sustainability leaders and decision-makers looking to make informed, strategic technology investments aligned with their specific reporting needs and organizational objectives.

While ESG reporting software has been around for over 15 years, Verdantix’s latest analysis reveals a market in flux—rapidly maturing and undergoing significant transformation, especially in the last five years.

Report methodology

The Verdantix Green Quadrant is built on a rigorous and transparent research process. Each participating vendor undergoes a comprehensive two-hour live briefing, submits responses to a detailed 107-point questionnaire, and is evaluated through extensive desktop research. Vendors are then scored across two dimensions: Capability, which assesses the breadth and depth of their offering, and Momentum, which captures market presence, growth trajectory, and strategic positioning.

A Leader who streamlines sustainability reporting for “complex organizations”

Novisto was named among this year’s Green Quadrant Leaders, recognized for their ability to support both regulated and voluntary ESG disclosure across industries.

In particular, Novisto stood out for its centralized architecture and intuitive user interface, which simplify sustainability reporting at scale and enable consistent engagement across complex organizations. We also received elevated scores across several core capabilities, including data acquisition and architecture, data quality control and enhancement, and user interface design, among others.

“Novisto’s centralized platform architecture, paired with an intuitive user experience, streamlines enterprise sustainability reporting across complex organizations.”

Designed for standards—and scale

“Novisto should be considered by organizations looking for a well-structured platform to support and scale their sustainability efforts,” wrote Verdantix. With support for over 25 ESG taxonomies, Novisto’s extensive metrics library—featuring 2000+ metrics and 14,000 data points—empowers companies to ‘collect data once and report to many’, which bolsters efficiency and frees up time.

In that vein, Verdantix also noted that Novisto "offers strong support for an expanding set of globally recognized and sector-specific frameworks" (p.42), helping users efficiently benchmark and align with evolving regulatory and voluntary standards alike. Notably, this also includes alignment for benchmarking evaluations like the S&P Global CSA, along with an “expanding product ecosystem that supports carbon management and double materiality workflows alongside sustainability reporting” (p.42).

Ultimately, this capability is increasingly critical as companies navigate complex and overlapping disclosure demands.

User-friendly and strong data integration

Ease of use and seamless integration were recurring themes in the analysis. Novisto was highlighted as a “user-friendly sustainability platform, underpinned by strong data integration capabilities” (p.43). Verdantix also noted that the platform’s performance reflects the maturity of its architecture and application design, earning high marks for its user interface and data acquisition capabilities and internal benchmarking.

Supporting enterprise-wide sustainability programs

With elevated scores in both usability and architectural maturity, Novisto was recognized for its ability to support enterprise-wide sustainability programs, empowering companies “to focus on key priorities such as building data confidence, meeting disclosure demands [while also] enabling broader internal accountability on sustainability performance” (p.43).

In a market where ESG is no longer the responsibility of a single department, but a company-wide imperative, Novisto’s platform stands out for enabling collaboration across business units—something increasingly essential for effective sustainability performance.
